ABT power upgrade backed by KTM released

ABT has released further information and pricing about it’s power upgrade. The upgrade can be retrofitted to any X-Bow and will hike up the figures to 300 bhp and 295 lb-ft.

The great thing is that the upgrade is backed by KTM and doesn’t affect the X-Bow’s warranty. The upgrade costs approximately $8,800 US.

Crashed X-Bow in the Netherlands

Aparently the driver of this KTM lost control and at a high speed, rolled the X-Bow 3 times before coming to a stop. The good news is that the driver wasn’t injured which shows how well built the X-Bow is and how important safety is for KTM. The bad news is that it will probably cost him as much as a new one to repair this one!

KTM announces Drive Orange events at Silverstone and Brands Hatch

KTM releases various versions of the X-Bow

When KTM first released the X-Bow, buyers were able to spec it according to what they wanted. The options list included different carbon fiber panels, adjustable racing suspension, central locking wheels, removable steering wheels and limited slip differential. The number of different variations of X-Bows was huge and probably caused a problem for their assembly line.

KTM has changed their approach slightly. Now you have 4 models to choose from and are able to pick certain options in some of them. The current versions offered are the Street, Club Sport, Superlight, GT4 and ROC.

MTM specs state the tuned Audi engine in the X-Bow now pushes 318 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Upgrades include modified six-speed manual transmission, four piston Brembos with 305 mm discs and the quad exhaust.
